Water Project

We are helping five families with new water pumps and improving their wells if it is needed. For each family, this is the first time they have had running water to their house. We are so glad that we are able to help them in this way.

Finding a Horse

This man and his family are very poor. His only income is from cutting wood in the forest and selling it at the market. His very old horse had just died. We wanted to help him but had already spent most our budget in helping others. Surprisingly, good horses are hard to find because people are now using tractors. Across the country we finally located a horse farm. We took the money we had, found others to help, and bought this beautiful horse. The family was thrilled.

New Windows

We put windows in the home of a very poor family in a remote village. We don’t know how they survived the winter. The windows leaked water and air blew right through them. Two had only plastic over the openings during the winter.

Well Pumps

We found poor families who had wells but no pumps to get the water. This is part of three families who live together that we provided pumps for and had them installed. Because of what we were doing, the workman lowered the price so we could help other families.

Helping with Food

We have expanded the food project to more poor families. The widow and children in this family live on such a steep hill that we had to use a wheelbarrow to take the food to their house.

Giving a Cow

This family has three children and earn only $40 a month. They needed a cow to provide milk, cheese, and yogurt for the children. We purchased this cow and calf to provide the food and to be able to sell milk to meet other needs The father had tears running down his face when we left.

New Doors

We hired three carpenters who provided and installed the needed doors at a reduced price. Because we were helping the family, they wanted to help as well. They also sealed all the windows at no cost. We also provided for a medical exam and needed glasses for the youngest boy.

A New House

We partnered with two other organizations to build a house for a widow with 12 children who was living in desperate conditions. Since she moved into the house, her appearance, attitude, and even her health have changed. It has also greatly impacted her children and nearby families.

Tractor Project

In a small village in northern Kosovo, the poorest in the country, we purchased tractors and all the equipment for 20 poor families and widows to plant wheat and corn. They had crops for the first time in ten years. The leader of the village told us that the whole attitude of the village has changed.
